&lt;p&gt;Certainly some of the sonic levels as mentioned, and who could forget Super Mario Karts Bowsers Castle circuit? :)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Solar was pretty awesome! One of the best fire levels ever designed.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;And don't forget about Sonic 3 &amp;amp; Knuckle's Lava Reef Zone. It's inside a friggin volcano. Sonic 3's Angel Island on fire is also pretty badass. When has a burning forest ever been used before/after?&lt;/p&gt;

Not only is the whole planet molten lava, but you receive continuous damage for flying too low and need plenty of shield recoveries over the course of the stage, not to mention the boss being made of molten magma and spewing &amp;nbsp;it everywhere when you deal damage to it!&lt;/p&gt;
