How to Decorate Your Empty Wall Space When You’re Too Lazy for Painting, Hammering, or Other Forms of Manual Labor

Posted by Steph Auteri

I suppose I should be grateful the walls weren’t puke green or mucous yellow when I moved in (incidentally, the refrigerator and stove were mucous yellow), but the blank and enduring off-whiteness of our walls is driving me crazy. That's why I love the idea of the wall decal.

Miraentuinterior describes it as “chang[ing] the skin of your wall.” The vinyl adhesive decals they have on offer are like the products of a rich fever dream, all lush purples and reds and greens, and the designs include trees, swirls, and even paper airplanes.

StickyUps also has a grouping of wall decals on offer, for both children and adults, though the whimsical is definitely in the majority here.

And then there’s blik, which carries a “line of surface graphics created by and for people who like to change their mind.” Their collection includes a variety of artists, and an incredible multitude of designs.

I'm glad I have so many gorgeous options. You know, if I'm feeling too lazy for the heavy-duty remodeling.

I love the vibrancy of the decals from Miraentuinterior...great find! I have to say I love the versions where you can customize text. The idea of having a favorite poem or quote as art is very appealing

A+ post. I've seen someone with blik stickers before, but the rest are new [and delightful] to me.
