Book Storage Doubling as Objet D'Art

 [request price, nobody&co]

Although I already own a bookcase bed frame, and two additional bookshelves of the usual sort, I'm running out of space. After all, once my parents introduced me to Golden Books, I just never stopped reading, and the Stephen Kings, Barbara Kingsolvers, and Lorrie Moores just continued piling up. Now my piles upon piles of books are threatening to consume my entire one-bedroom domicile. So I'm on the market for some supplementary book storage. But I'd like something atypical. After all, with all of the art sculpture-like pieces on the market, such as the bibliochaise above, why should I settle for anything less!?

The bibliochaise is not the only antidote to the bookshelf blahs. Vincent Leman carries a number of stretched and curving bookcases that will make you feel as if you're living in a Dali painting.

[$950, Vincent Leman

Nauris Kalinauskas designed a bookshelf he calls Quad, which doubles as complex sculpture and shelving unit.

[$1,999, Generate

And Matt Carr designed a beautifully elegant bookshelf that doesn't take up much space at all. His inspiration for the piece was two vintage coffee tables he had come upon.

 Sarah Utter wasn't kidding:
