There are those who say I have Champagne taste.

I take that to mean that I have awesome taste.

In the interests of spreading Awesome to others, I'd like to introduce you to Artecnica designer Tord Boontje. A Netherland-born student of industrial design, and creator of the garland light chandelier, I covet his pieces -- hard core -- because of their detailed paper-cutting sensibility (think elementary-school-reminiscent construction paper snowflakes, minus the rough edges). Aside from The Chandelier I Will Someday Have at Whatever Cost, and the Flora garland above, here are some additional pieces from Boontje:

Fairy Tale garland made from wood-free paper:

 [request price, Artecnica]

Ivy Panel:

[$60, A+R Store

Until Dawn Curtain:

[$123, Unica Home

2nd Shadow lamp:

[$169, Generate]

Thinking of You silver metal vase-covers:

[$44, Unica Home]

Gush over Boontje some more with Tord Boontje, the book.

You're totally right, you know. I wish I knew where I could get that blue thing, too. The shade is absolutely gorgeous!
