Rock Star Special Effects

[$236, Supermarket

I have been known to — quite suddenly — grab the nearest object, whether it be stapler, remote control, or butter knife, and use it as a faux-microphone. Usually when something like "Living On a Prayer" or "Pour Some Sugar On Me" comes on the radio. Because I'm from Jersey.

I didn't say I was proud of my behavior.

I imagine that, if I owned this SOLO pendant light, I would hang it over my bed and — at especially intense musical moments — jump up and strike my rock starriest rock star stance and, um, rock out.

And it would somehow be okay because it's almost a real microphone and not my butter knife in the middle of the diner.
