The Sweet and the Low: Spiral Votive Holders

Once upon a time, Pottery Barn carried this fabulous spiral votive holder — with a 16-candle capacity —  priced at $119. And I bought it. And it looks glorious. And everyone always compliments it. But it's since been discontinued so you can never have one and your living room wall will never ever look as cool as mine. 

 Ahem. Sorry about that.

So At Home has a remarkably similar one of these, albeit with only 8-candle capacity, for about half that $119 price tag:

Not bad. Except that Target, one of my favorite stores ever in the world because you could theoretically survive if you made the shop your home, has a pretty similar version going for even less!

Wendy! Spiral Geometry has a changing radius.  Thats why when designong off ramps they are more difficult to compute than a series of compound curves which dopey civil engineers choose not to do any more.  Christopher Lowell has nothing on you!
