BookNerd: The Perfect Nightstand

Posted by Steph Auteri

When I came upon this nightstand design online, conceived by Josefin Hellstrom-Olsson, I almost creamed myself. Sadly, I am still unsure if this is a one-off, or something that I can max out my credit card for. Luckily...

...this similar concept can be had for about $1,386, by contacting the designers and requesting an order form. The price seems a bit steep to me, but what do I know? I eat ramen for lunch.

::sigh::

I still want the first one.

Why don't you just buy yourself some old books at a book store by some cheap storage cubes with pull out drawers from IKEA and put it all together. I don't see that costing you more than a 100 bucks.

or even better, buy a bunch of really cool looking old books, hollow them out, reinforce the sides, and then glue them all together with some rubber cement

You guys are way craftsier than I am. Whenever I try to make something, it comes out looking totally deranged. Plus, in nursery school, they wrote on my report card that I was bad with scissors.
