Pet Product: Silent Dog Tag

Posted by Wendy Atterberry

This is Twiggy and Pharo — they're little Italian Greyhounds that belong to my friends whom I stayed with in Chicago. The picture wasn't taken on this past visit, but during my last visit in February when it was about a million degrees below zero. Each time I visit, i'm always struck with how different dogs are from cats. Like, dogs have to go outside pretty much every hour to poop. And they listen to what you say! I mean, if you say "let's go outside!" they run to the front door, wagging their tails and jumping up and down. Cats, on the other hand, would be hard-pressed to even raise an eyebrown to the suggestion of stepping outdoors.

Anyhow, there's another difference between cats and dogs and it's all the accessories and such that dogs have. My friends' dogs even have their own dresser drawers for all their crap! And then there are those tags they have to wear that jingle jangle with their every movement, unless, of course, they have one of these brilliant inventions:

It's a cute little dog tag pouch — stick the tags in the pouch so they don't make that annoying jingle jangle sound and they don't rub against your dog.
