This is more of a general recommendation than a hands on, but the good people at BBC America were nice enough to send me advanced screeners of the recently released DVD set "Spaced," and so I thought I'd do my part to tell you why you should buy it:
1) It's Hilarious: Like, really, laugh out loud hilarious. I hate interacting with people on airplanes, but I watched this on the way out to San Diego, and was laughing so hard, I had to explain to people what I was watching.
2) If You Like Shaun of the Dead: You'll like this, is the end of that sentence. Simon Pegg stars, Edgar Wright directs, Nick Frost is in it, and the ludicrously talented Jessica Hynes co-stars and co-writes.
3) It's The Geekiest: You really have no idea how geeky it is until you watch it. Let's just say if you get all the references (the non-obvious ones), you're as geeky as I am; but not as geeky as the guy who got more references than both of us.
I seriously can't recommend this highly enough.
