I'm not sure how to pinpoint the turning point where stuffed animals stopped being manufactured because of their cuteness and softness levels. Maybe it has something to do with those Ugly Dolls. Whenever it was, this UK manufacturer has taken things to a new level:

Grind the Rabbit and Twitch the Raccoon are two dolls conceived by Road Kill. Looking at the names of forthcoming products, I think it's safe to say that things can only become more horrifying (trying to envision the Pop the Weasel door wedge makes me especially squeamish).
Of course, if I wanted my very own piece of roadkill, there's always the flattened raccoon that's been decomposing outside of my condo complex for the duration of this summer, allowing me to observe first-hand the wonders of nature. And if I ever get sick of Splat the New Jersey Raccoon, I can always call Dead Animals in the Street (seriously, people; page 4, phone directory for Clifton: Dead Animals in the Street).
