Wall-Mounted Trophies Honor Those Killed With Love

Posted by Steph Auteri

I have an E.T. doll whose skin has been loved off. The pupils of his eyes have been smeared away. There are band-aids on his skinny little wrists, and a pencil in his neck to keep his head upright. My mom also sewed him a neck brace, with a bit of fringe to make it look like a scarf.

My persistent patching-up of his person is akin to keeping someone on life support for far too long. But I can't help it.

If you're ready to let go, without really letting go...

Stuft Acquaintances offers wall-mounted plushies, ranging $30-$135. Custom trophies are now available (which means your favorite childhood companion can now receive the homage he deserves).
