Your Life Story

Posted by Steph Auteri

How do you remember the breadth of your life? What sort of time capsule...memory recorder...journal do you use? Because I am a huge dork, I have 25 large photo albums, spanning my life, from birth till now. I also have a memory box (more like a trunk), containing such detritus of my life as my baby book, my old Girl Scout sash, and my junior high jazz band T-shirt. Just the other evening, I spent several hours flipping through my high school yearbook, and a travel journal from a trip to Austria at the age of 17. It amazed me how I could miss so deeply such uncertain times.

Now, before I get all weepy on you, a new way to capture your life story, no biographer necessary:

My Life Story is a 100-year diary, organized by the seasons, with blanks for year and location.
