Blackberry/iPhone App Smackdown

Posted by Steph Auteri

Gizmodo and BusinessWeek report that BlackBerry will finally be opening an application store to compete against Apple's App Store. App World is slated to open on April 1, and paid applications will start at $2.99 (though there will be some freebies as well).

Among the apps we'll be lucky enough to find all in one place?

  1. The Gmail software application
  2. Blackbird, a Twitter client
  3. Flickr
  4. MapQuest Navigator
  5. Pandora Mobile (rock!)
