Continuing
our in depth look at things you can’t actually do this Memorial Day,
it’s the Dutch, Solar Powered Speedboat that isn’t yet available for
sale!
That being said, hopefully it will be publicly available,
soon. The virtually silent boat runs 55.5 km/h, and seats three people.
So not the biggest or faster boat out there, but it’s not the slowest
or the smallest, either (that would be this one).
And, it’s completely green, as the body is wrapped in photoelectric
cells. This is, of course, super important in the water… It doesn’t
solve that pesky “sucking fish into your engine” problem, but it does
cut down on fuel leak into the water, as well as that annoying
speedboat noise we all loathe so much.
