Cramped Quarters: Relocate to the Other Room

I live in a one-bedroom condo with my husband, where we've converted the dining room into an office for the two of us. So basically, we sit back-to-back, working most hours of the day, trying our darndest not to annoy the heck out of each other. If someone feels like watching TV...a mere few feet away...all hell breaks loose.

It's my dream that someday we will have a four-bedroom house, with enough room for us, the kids, and an office for each of us (with locks on the doors). For now, though, what to do when one person has work to do, and the other wants to throw a goddamn party!?

That's right. The hard worker is banished to the bedroom, with her laptop and laptop desk, which comes with stereo speakers, cooling fans, foldable legs, etc.

Pictured above is the newest product from the purveyors of the Cableyoyo and the SpaceStation. And no. It's not a lunchbox for your Apples.

The Sanctuary is a universal charger compatible with over 1,500 devices that once again, magically, manages to keep all your wires out of the way.

Now if only I could get rid of the rest of the crap in the general vicinity of my desk.

A Clean Workspace

Notice anything special about this workspace? Yes? No? Look closely.

It's the completely lack of loose cords.

BlueLounge, creators of the incredibly handy dandy Cableyoyo, have come out with a new product — the SpaceStation.

The SpaceStation is an extended desk organizer for your laptop. There is a rubber pad on top top, on which to rest your keyboard, and the station is angled just so, to allow for ergonomic keyboard handling and a flow of air underneath your machine.

Meanwhile, the underside is incredible, in that it has an out-of-sight 4-port USB hub and internal coiling pins for all of your wires. (see labeled image above)

The station hovers 5mm above the desk, and cords can enter or emerge from it at any point for easy connection with your scanner, iPod, or camera.

In addition to all of this, there is a special slot for business cards

and a pageholder for keeping working papers upright.

BlueLounge have really outdone themselves this time, building upon their smaller clutter-free designs to create the absolute ideal workspace.
