My parents have similar shelves; it's actually just a one-shelf deal with sides that hangs above their bed. It's pretty cool and from room&board or something. Or yeah, just make your own.

Great video; thanks so much for posting it! Oddly I totally understand the appeal of chocolate covered bacon. I think it's that blend of chocolate with the anome (I have no idea how to spell that but I recently read about it in New York magazine) which is some sort of flavor compound being explored in the culinary world. I also can definitely see how the addition of sea salt would help bring out the flavor (and I'm with you that more bacon and less chocolate is probably a better flavor combo (especially if the chocolate is dark and has a high cocoa content. This is totally something I would order. My male friends seem to think it's some sort of odd virtue that I'm a woman with a fondness for bacon. I did not realize this was unusual.

DWR used to sell these bed "pockets" - the top piece slid underneath your mattress, and then hung down the side for books, a bottle of water, etc. You could make your own pretty easily. In fact, Lotta Jansdottir has a sewing book that has a pattern for one.

Because there is nothing I love enough (well except maybe Paul.... ok and you) to have it permenantly inked on my body. Things I might like now, oh like a princess crown or little heart would look extremely silly on a 40 year old. This jewelry, however, would stand the test of time a little better.

Whatever you get. make sure its ceramic. The metal ones don't evenly disperse the heat could damage your hair more. I would definitely invest in one.... i think I spent 80 on my last one... in my experience, they tend to burn out after 2-3 years. Head to a beauty products store and get a thin (like the one shown) ceramic one with multiple heat setting and you should be set!

Steph... the dress is soo pretty.. i now have to own it! Also on the shoes... i understand what Wendy is saying about the ankle strap thingy.. but they are the best of the bunch! The 83 dollars ones remind me of something I had when I was 12, the 100 dollar ones are way too fancy and the 200 dollar ones are not worth 200 dollar. Trust me... remember that I own Manolos :)

Hey, I'm not like that...I try to hide it so people don't ask me about it (which, I promise, is just as annoying). But if it makes you feel better, I dropped mine the other day and it has a big crack in it :).

The weather display on the HTC phone is phenomenal, though. The interface is damn cool in general.

My Sphynxes would probably love that. ;) It doesn't say it shoots out sun rays, just "simulates sun shining in from a window". I think it's probably just light focused in way that seems like a beam of sun. Again, my cats would LOVE it!

Oddly enough, I was looking through some old pet industry trade magazines this morning and was thinking about some of the strange products (and people) I saw while working in the industry. Somehow, this product doesn't surprise me. That said, my (solid black) cats can't get any darker, so no matter how hard they beg, I'm not getting it for them. ;)

Actually, the terrible event in history I was talking about was when myself, my brothers, and one of our cousins were creating Shadow Magic of our penises when OUR COUSIN WALKED IN ON US!!!
