Today's smart smut piece is
about a guy in Wisconsin
in the early 80s. He’s delivering pizza, barely making enough
money to get by. The story is called “Self-Reliance,” and it’s about learning what
to do when people fail you. There are some great sex scenes, like the one
excerpted below, but the thrust of the piece is about a guy who realizes “that you can't rely on yourself if you feel ashamed of
yourself.” You are an individual entity and you have to make it in the world on
your own and that’s ok, and you can even draw strength from it.
“While I was twisting my hips over, right up onto the headboard,
pivoting on my shoulders, trying to travel headfirst down Stephanie's body so
