In 2005 Ms. Emily DePrang wrote a great essay
about being fired for sexual harassment for our Sex at Work issue.
“For the next week, a little voice
piped up every few seconds to remind me — you're a pervert. People who knew
you were grossed out by you. People you shared cigarettes with were disturbed
enough to trot downstairs and report you. However
absurd their definition of sexual harassment, I had met it.”
Emily is not the first person who
comes to mind when you think of sexual harassment. But she make it through ok, and
her professional career didn’t suffer for it.
