Are
Beyonce and Jay-Z getting married…right now…as I type? Not even an
eleven-minute walk from the Nerve offices? So sez Perez
Hilton, and we bet he’s right.
Did your invite get lost in the mail? Well, if you live in New York you can still be part of the
Beyonce Experience, tonight at the New Museum. No joke. Nerve’s own video genius Neal Medlyn is
taking the Beyonce experience live…
Meet Neal:

“A
few months ago, Brendan Kennedy and Kenny Mellman told me about Beyonce’s
terribly strange concert DVD and
suggested I do a live staging. And thanks to Travis Chamberlain who works at
the New Museum, it’s
going to happen!” says Neal.
“The
[original] DVD was shot at the Staples Center in Los
Angeles in September 2007 and features
monologues from women who killed their boyfriends, birthday cake, a Destiny’s
Child reunion, hair blowing in gale-force winds, and more glossolalia than you
can shake a stick at!”
“The
show will be called THE NEAL MEDLYN EXPERIENCE LIVE! and features back-up
dancing led by Dance Gang’s WILL RAWLS, special surprise guest appearances by
Destiny's Child and a surprise guest rapper! All this PLUS it’s a
shared program, so you get to see Jack Ferver’s “I Am Trying To Hear Myself”
too.”
