No matter how sexually expressive you are, menstruation
and its many accoutrements are more often than not relegated to the realm of
unsexy. The whole culture surrounding feminine-hygiene products seems to
demand that what happens in the vagina, stays in the vagina, until it can be
stealthily discarded and never mentioned to anyone except your woman friends
over fruity drinks. So there's something infinitely refreshing about the way
these photos let lady-products be something other than a blocker of bleeding.
