This
week Salon
spoke with director Paul H-O, “an unsuccessful artist turned cable TV host [who
snagged] an interview with one of the world's most reclusive and glamorous art
stars, Cindy Sherman”…and then the two fell head-over-heels in love. Paul H-O appears to have struggled mightily
with the fact that he was the lesser-known, (perhaps in his mind,
less-powerful) of the two. In fact, he even refers to himself as “the wife.” They
eventually broke up, and he eventually made a documentary about her. “Guest of
Cindy Sherman” ain’t no Forgetting Sarah
Marshall. An interview with Paul H-O is above, and you can read more at Salon.
Anyone else out there dating
a (more) famous person? Anyone else wish they had more context for the whole “wife”
comment?
