The Anthem That Started It All

Posted by Emily Farris

While every other blog in the world is showing the frightening clip of 8-year-old Anthony Gargiula singing "Let it Snow" on the Today show, we decided to find the YouTube clip that made him famous (more than 2 million views) in the first place. It's from way back when, when he was 7 and before he was famous and on the Ellen show. While this is not nearly as creepy as Today's (probably because he's not wearing make-up and a festive sweater), it's creepy nonetheless. But hey, the kid can sing, even if his voice reminds us a little of Wynonna Judd. At least he's better than Fergie.

The kid is talented beyond his years. He is what is called "gifted" like Mozart or Elton John. Skip the pychoanalysis and concentrate on the musical gift. His future is unknown because the onset of puberty could change his voice in a negative way. Until then , he has a great voice and a natural feel for music.Enjoy him.
