Hey kids, we got a question for you: if you were the betting types, which hot young things would you say are gonna blow up in '08? The fine folks at Double Viking have their list of girls to watch in the new year, such as actress Emily Blunt, a Scanner fave who we kind of thought was already blown up, what with nearly upstaging Meryl Streep and all, but what the hell.

We're sure that y'all got some guy names out there too, right? Maybe Joe Anderson, who many of you liked enough in Across the Universe to think he could tackle playing Kurt Cobain in the Universal biopic? Hey, we're equal opportunity here at Scanner, right? So boys, girls, music, movies, dogs, cats, send 'em all our way, and in a year's time we'll meet back here and see who's right. Or we'll just forget all about it and move on to someone else. Who knows.

And BTW, please, no one say "Obama" will be one to watch in 2008. The future President of Earth deserves more respect than that.
