Woman Decides Sex and Marriage Don't Go Together

Posted by Emily Farris

This woman hasn't had sex with her husband in four years. She has no plans to. And she doesn't even want to. According to her, "Providing a stable home for children is totally incompatible with having an exciting sex life."

"I remember the first time my girlfriends and I admitted that we all felt the same about married sex as parents: we couldn't be bothered with it and felt guilty for not wanting to sleep with our husbands. It was a revelation. I remember thinking: 'Thank God! It's not just me!'

She admits she stays in her sexless relationship for the sake of her children, aged nine and 11, and will remain celibate until the day they are grown up and she feels able to leave. At which point, she confesses, she will probably abandon her husband and begin a sexual odyssey to find the satisfaction that eludes her.

We never thought we'd say this about anyone, ever, but maybe she needs to go on Dr. Phil.

We're looking forward to marriage for all the sex. Maybe we need to go on Dr. Phil?

[Daily Mail: Sorry, but marriage and sex DON'T go together

Ok, so read the article and I'm kind of annoyed at the way this one was written.  Nowhere does she say she's on a campaign to convince other women to do this or anything, which is what you make it sound like. She is a middle aged women who is sick of her husband and instead of doing something about it has decided to whine to the ENTIRE WORLD how she'd like to screw around but is just TOO GOOD A MOMMY.

Wait, so, you're required to have kids if you're married? Shit, my husband and I had better get divorced then, as well as a few other couples I know.  So does she expect him to be celibate for the next 15 years "for the sake of the kids"? 'cause that'll sure lead to some good parenting and stability.

"As I entered my thirties, it was obvious my sex life had a recurring, rather depressing pattern."

Gosh, I wonder whose fault this is.  That whole article makes her sound like a total loser who has lost a few too many IQ points.

Maybe she would like to live with my husband... he seems to have the same philosophy

I hope her husband dumps her before she gets the chance to do the same.  This woman is a pathetic lowlife, not for feeling what she does, but for writing a fucking book and telling the world before telling him about it.

Another glowing endorsement for marriage. It's one thing being miserable because you're single, it's totally another to be miserable because you're married (still essentially single) and you can't date or fuck anybody else.

Because a garden-variety, mutual-agreement, friendly divorce is waaaaay worse than growing up to realize that your parents' marriage was a sham and your mother resents you for keeping her from all the fun she could have been having.

Who would want to fuck her anyway? It's not like that face would launch a thousand ships. Maybe a dinghy or two...

Because this is a story in the Sun and the interviewee is anonymous you have to consider the extremely highly likelihood that the interview is 100% fictional. Mainstream British newspapers have the same jouranlistic standards and adherence to truthful reporting of facts as those U.S. tabloids that show cover page doctored photos of aliens meeting with the president.

What this woman chooses to do with her life is fine for her but...

...if you view marriage as something other than just a partnership convenient for raising children, to be done away with once the kids are independent; say, a union of people who love and are devoted to each other whose ultimate expression of that love and devotion is the creation of a few new human beings...

...if you actually enjoy sex beyond the freshness and novelty of a new relationship...

...then maybe take this article with a grain of salt.  A big grain of salt.

I'm thinking the husband is probably relieved that he doesn't have to hit that anymore.  She fell out of the Ugly Tree and hit a lot of branches on the way down.  I'm wondering if she's imaginging there's going to be men beating down her bedroom door after another decade of wear and tear on her face and frame.

Well, who knows if the interview was real, but the book exists. I just did a quick search on Amazon.com and the book is set to be released in February.

Oh man, sometimes the joke(s) just write themselves. I too would lurrve to see the person with whom she would be happy, especially after s/he gets the backstory.

Profrobert, I myself the 'if she fell down a well, they'd be pumpin' ugly there for 20 years' expression, especially considering that what we're seeing is a carefully made-up and shot publicity photo. If I saw something like that in the woods, I'd fire one shot at it before running for the car.

Who is this awful woman who doesn't tell her husband she is about to destroy him in a national newspaper?

Umm ... without making any overhasty judgments about her appearance or outwardly apparent personality, but ... I wouldn't be too shocked if this succubus's husband was *completely* okay with their current sex schedule.  At least we have about nine years until she begins her odyssey to find sexual satisfaction/drive every last human male desperately into hiding....
