Bart Simpson: Brainwashed by Scientology

The San Francisco Chronicle and IMDB reported today about Nancy Cartwright's, aka Bart Simpson's, ten million dollar donation to the Cult Church of Scientology. This landed her a pat on the back from Thomas Mapother IV and a plaque that said she'd received a Patron Laureate Award. That's it? For ten million dollars, twice her annual salary for the Simpsons? If you gave the Pope ten million, you'd expect at least a MySpace picture comment, personal IM, and two tickets to American Gladiators.

Yeah, this makes me sad -- I love the Simpsons, love Matt Groening, but don't want to give Nancy Cartwright any of my money.  I've decided to only buy used Simpsons DVDs from now on.
