Hot or Not: PETA Protests?

There's a bit of pro and con on this one.

Pro: Several of them look really hot. They're activists, for what we are grudgingly going to refer to as a "good cause," and therefore sexy.

Con: Several of them... um... not really so much. And PETA's hyper-aggressive scare tactics may put off more people than they persuade. In any case, let's look at some more gratuitous pictures and discuss.

Let us start by saying we are not aiming to make sex objects of these folks. The Asia-Pacific wing of the People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals, seen here and below at a protest/photo op/press conference condemning the running of the bulls in Pamplona, are more than just a bunch of naked people trying to get our attention.

We really want to know-- pluses and minuses mentioned above factored in-- are they hot or not? (Don't worry, there is sure to be plenty of boring political news today for those overstimulated by this.)

jeez - there is only one person who is not thin and therefore "hot" in that picture and even that is mostly due to unflattering photography. Oh, and there is another woman who looks to be over 30 and a little saggy. Have we collectively become that jaded by airbrushed magazine images and plastic surgery "perfection" that anyone that does not fit into society's very tiny (literally and figuratively) ideal will be dubbed unattractive? Oh, and there are plenty of fat vegetarians. I was actually pretty plump before I started eating meat again. Come to think of it, about the size of the woman on the right...

Yea. I'm confused. Why does what they look like matter? It's a protest. What sense would  it make if they were all "hot" or thin? I think we should be up in arms about how contrived political "protests" have become. Who creates these slogans?  Gotta love the ho shoes the tan brunette & the girl standing next to her is wearing. We have come so far....
