Studies show, no society that has totally embraced fascism has lasted for more than, you know, a few decades(Germany and Italy in the 30s and 40s). . . I honestly think it's the biggest threat our nation has, even more so than terrorism or Islam. . . They want to get them into the government schools so they can indoctrinate them . . . They are going after our young children, as young as two years of age, to try to teach them that the fascist lifestyle is an acceptable lifestyle.

Why don't you find a real problem like poverty, health care, housing, homelessness the environment, public transportation or racism to spend your time and energy worrying about.  

Umm Vegans are bad too?  Didn't your bible say, "thou shalt not kill"?  Or is eating meat another way of twisting that fairy tale book that you nuts rely on to fit your own needs and desires?  It's STILL a free country.  Get lost, non-Christians.  YOUR President has ruined this country -- why don't you concentrate on fixing that.

Some of my best friends are Christians, but regardless of what the content of Kerns' speech was, the most disturbing aspect of it is the abrogation of the separation of church and state.  Once again, someone brings the prejudices of their particular form of religion and attempts to impose it onto the public.  She was elected to deal with political issues, not preach her ignorant religious beliefs.  I don't care if she is a Christian, I just don't want it shoved down my throat.  Sound familiar?

Go Sally -- speak up for what you believe it.  This is still America and you have the Right to Free speech.  We are supposed to be a Market Place of Ideas -- Suppression of Speech is Frightening.  Don't be intimidated!

When does including "some of my best friends are gay" make something NOT hate speech? I fail to see where that simple phrase justifies the other comments made by Kern. She blatantly said that having an SGA was corrupting the school system. That gays have an 'agenda'. I really do fail to see how that is not hate speech, even if you do add the phrase they supposedly 'omitted'.

This woman really upset me. How can one person be so stupid and ignorant? How dare she compare homosexuality(which is natural) to terrorism? She looks like a closeted gay person to me she just talks bad about gay people because she isn't woman enough to admit who she really is.

And I am ashamed that Oklahoma's residents aren't upset over this.

Unfortunately this is the sort of thing that makes Oklahoma look bad. It would help everyone if she would just wear a white hood and get it over with. To compare ANYTHING to terrorism is an unbelievable ignorance. Growing up and still living here IN Oklahoma really makes me want to leave!

I find it amusing that she equates homosexuals with terrorists, since many relgious extremeists (Christians and Islamists) find nothing wrong with prejudice and even violence toward gays and lesbians.  Hmmm...  So, I suppose that makes Sally Kern more in line with the intolerant terrorists than homosexuals...

Yup.  It fits.  Both want the world to conform to their own narrow, terrifyingly warped religious views, with no thoughts given to the innocent ones who get hurt or killed in the process.  

I just can't help but think that if Jesus were to come down to earth today, he'd bitch-slap all the neocons and religious-right nutcases and scream, "THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!"  The God and Jesus Christ I know is loving, forgiving, kind, and generous.  Not full of hate.

You know, so many people are going to preach about us being hypocrites based on the comments on here. But if something is said that is offensive, one has the right to rant in anger.  I once almost got in a fight with a black girl because I was screaming to a bunch of christians who were protesting homosexuality on my college campus. She did not understand why i was outraged and saying stuff back to them. Well the thing with that it, if a bunch of white people came and help up signs and preached about hating black people, she would have done the same. Freedom of speech is a wonderful thing, but if you are a congressman who is elected by the people, why would you discriminate a group of people? It doesn't make sense.

If you're going to make remarks like: "[homosexuality] according to God's word, that is not the right kind of lifestyle"... back it up!  Do the research!!!!  Contrary to what a lot of us have been brought up to believe, the Bible and Christ (most importantly) does NOT condemn homosexuaility.  Do the research!  Before King James had the Bible translated, there was a word for Homosexuality.. but it's NEVER used in the original transcript!  Want to know why there's so much suicide in the gay community?  Because people like this don't do their homework and unfortunately, people listen because they trust these people.  So many deaths at early age?  Because people listen and asault or murder gay people.  

Aren't you proud for spreading the word of hatered with no support for your theory?  Only Christ himself has the right to condemn someone to hell.  Those who judge need to be careful.  The Bible is very clear when it says "Do not judge, or you too will be judged" - Matthew 7:1.  

I think it is better this woman be in politics, where she can be voted out for her blind stupidity, rather than continuing in the school system.  By the way how many 2 yr olds are in school?

It's as if they're telling you "lookout, whoever my friends are, I'm about to say some f*cked up sh*t about you, but it's okay because you're my friends. Also, anyone else that may fit into this category in which you do should not be offended since I'm friends with people like them. So really what I'm saying is not bad at all" (even though it obviously is since I have to say this before I make my statement)

Give Sally Kern a metal!!  She has her opinion and sticks to it.  Clone her and replace our entire US congress with a person that has the right idea and the guts to say it and then stands behind what she says.

If anyone has ever seen news clips of the gay pride parade it takes an intelligent person only seconds to come to the conclusion that the gay community are proud of a bunch of freaks, nothing but freaks.
