Girl Crush of the Day: Leslie Hall

Posted by Emily Farris

If Paris Hilton can search for a new BFF on national televison, we can do it on The Internets, right? Well, we already did, and we found her. We heard about Leslie Hall, the rapper with a fondness for spandex, sparkles and sweaters, on NPR a few months ago and have seen her around, but for some reason we never made it to her website. But now that we've seen her on BoingBoingTV we're pretty sure she needs to be our best friend starting right this minute.

We once read a woman's book, decided we should be friends and stalked her at her reading. Now we're great friends, for real. So this could work, we just need to track Leslie down. (Hey, Leslie! We didn't shower today, either. See! We should be BFF!!)

We just became her fan on Facebook, which is almost like being her friend, right?

Unfortunately for us, the Nerve Video Blog is one step ahead of us.

You really need to just visit Ames, Iowa.

You will find Leslie. (refer to the Holla Back Ames song)

Go do open mic/karaoke with her if you'd like.

Its the best form of entertainment that we have in this University town......
