We know nothing about this image other than we found it here. It sort of almost doesn't make any sense, right? Like, it's almost too modern looking. You think it's a fake? Any of y'all photo fans got a provenance on it?
Well... If it's a fake, it's a very good one.
But you all know she's looking right at me, right?
I don't have provenance, but I've seen another photo which I assume is from the same shoot (she's wearing the same clothes, the grain and contrast of the film look the same) which is definitely her lying on a weight bench with two small freeweights. I saw it in a collection of postcards of movie stars. - aha, <a href="images.google.com/imgres it is</a>
It's not fake. It's from the same Phillipe Halsman shoot where she's lifting dumbells. Same jeans, same bikini top. I know of a better bootylicious shot of MM, though. It's a De Dienes where she smiling, legs over her head.
Yeah, it's gotta be a fake. No one crawled around in halter tops and jeans until after trailer parks were invented....which was 1971 in Winter Haven Florida.
