Ever Wondered What Human Ovulation Really Looks Like?

If you haven't, then you probably shouldn't click through.

These images of human ovulation were accidentally captured while a doctor was preparing to perform a hysterectomy on a 45-year-old woman, apparently debunking the thought that ovulation is a sudden, explosive event (unless, of course, it gets less sudden and less explosive as we age).
