In the most disgusting story to come out of the death of Jesse Helms, Senator Elizabeth Dole, who is in a fierce battle for re-election, tried to change the name of an AIDS funding bill to include Senator Helms in the title. If you don't know why this is offensive, here's a hint: it would be like naming a bill that protects detainee rights after Alberto Gonzales.
