Officer Dicks Says, "Pull Up Your Pants or I'll Pull Them Up for You!"

This is a photo of Flint Michigan interim Police Chief David Dicks cracking down on a man wearing saggy pants. Why pay such close attention to such a minor trangression?

The police officer has annouced that he will fine anyone found to be sagging $500 because he believes low riding your pants is indecent exposure.

Oh thank God, in Flint, Michigan, one of the most violent cities in the US, Chief Dicks has his priorities straight. He's been hard at work driving around and issuing warnings against the horrible, life-threatening crime of showing the top of your boxer shorts when you walk down the street.

As he drove through Flint's north and east sides, he flipped on the flashing lights of his departmental-issued Chevy Tahoe as he stopped a shirtless young man walking in the streets with saggy shorts and exposed boxers.

"Did you hear about the law?" the chief asked.

"I heard about it the other day," the man responded.

"I'm gonna issue a warning. I need you to get a belt because it's indecent exposure," the chief said to the twentysomething man on Delaware and N. Franklin.

During another stop, Dicks marveled at the steps a man took to wear his pants low.

Riiiiight. Does this sound like a transparent excuse to drive around staring a young men's butts to anyone else?

OMG... thats an ingenious way to fondle straight guys and not look like your fondling them.

Oh, will the ever clever ways of the homosexual-male's (well any-sexual really...) mind ever cease to amaze?

Simply put, we are losing our Constitutional rights a piece at a time.  I defy any future poster to defend how this practice is not a violation of the Fourth Amendment.

A municipality can evidently put whatever law they want into place, but it can still be overturned (and precedent set). The ACLU is already all over it. It will be crushed soon enough. (I live in metro Detroit.)
