Think you're the new Tay Zonday? Desperate to follow in Julia Allison's footsteps? Well, the first step you take should be to find out just exactly how internet famous you are. It's time to take the quiz...
In the interest of self-serving fameballs (thanks, Gawker) everywhere, WIRED has created a handy-dandy widget / doohicky that tells you exactly how internet famous you are. Type in your personal website, your twitter page, and/or your myspace page and watch it instantly compute. Scanner Verena has an internet fame score of 390, though what exactly that means is entirely unclear.
According to Wired:
The Celebrity Meter scans URLs and scores internet fame based on:
- webpages linking to you
- your friends across social networks (just Twitter and MySpace for now)
- pages linking to your photos
And if a homepage, twitter, and myspace doesn't cover your entire internet persona, you can head over to Traackr.com which compiles everything from Youtube and Flickr to Digg and Amazon.
Do we have the new Gawker Cewebrity in our midst? Share your scores below. Maybe we can actually figure out what "Internet Famous" even means.
