The 50 Hottest Women With Swords. Don't Worry, Brigitte Nielsen Makes the Cut.

Posted by Nicole Pasulka

This is a list of the 50 hottest women sword fighters on the website Only Knives, which mostly contains information about knives, swords and blades, but sometimes makes an exception for cleavage.

It would be cooler if these were actual, real-life sword-fighting women, but really it's just chicks in movies with knives, swords, and blades wearing leather or some sort of pirate dress.

Favorites from most dressed to least after the jump:

Ah, Uma. How we scoured stores looking for a bright yellow suit like yours after Kill Bill came out. We had to settle for yellow Asics and some sweatpants. People still got the reference, though.

This is Milla Jovovich, in case the, ahem, knives were distracting you from her face.

The woman with the sword is Natissa Malthe, we have no idea who she is--she was in Blood Rayne II: Deliverance which is, you know, on our Netflix queue. But we wanted to show you this photo to illustrate an important point about women sword fighters....

The reoccurring combination of thigh-high boots and bustiness below.

There is a conspiracy that results in women who swing the sword dressing like Xena (whose absence from this list is a shameful oversight, by the way).

See, even lists of cheap thrills for knife enthusiasts can teach you something about the world.

Xena is on her way.  This list was only movie swordsters.  TV is coming according to the site.

Those yellow/black track suits used to be quite easy to pick up from martial arts magazines; they're an homage to Bruce Lee's outfit in 'Game of Death.' You can also get the all-black number (Lee wore one in 'Enter the Dragon'). I remember this Jamaican guy wearing one to my high school, back in the 80's...makes you hard to miss in a crowd.

Lee mainly wore it to show his chiseled physique, so if you strap one on, be ready to be fully checked out.

Emily Farris writes about culture and food for numerous publications and websites you've probably never heard of, including her own blog eefers. Her first cookbook, Casserole Crazy: Hot Stuff for Your Oven was published in 2008. Emily recently escaped New York and now lives in a ridiculously large apartment in Kansas City, MO with her cat, but just one... so far.

Brian Fairbanks is a filmmaker living in the wilds of Brooklyn. He previously wrote for the Hartford Courant and Gawker. He won the Williamsburg Spelling Bee once. He loves cats, women with guns, and burning books.

Colleen Kane has been an editor at BUST and Playgirl magazines and has written for the endangered species of dead-tree magazines like SPIN and Plenty, as well as Radar Online and other websites. She lives in exile in Baton Rouge with her fiance, two dogs, and her former cat. Read her personal blogs at ColleenKane.com.
