Russell Crowe Seeks BBW for Love, Role Play

Posted by Emily Farris

Russell Crowe is allegedly looking for an older, larger actress to play his female counterpart in the upcoming Nottingham after he threw a fit and had his leading lady fired because she was too thin and beautiful.

Crowe was worried that Sienna Miller would make him look bad in the film's love scenes. He put on weight for his role in Body of Evidence and has since had a hard time taking it off. According to Page Six, producers are now "looking for an older, plumper actress to play the role so [Crowe] doesn't look like a paunchy grandpa. Someone in her late 30s or early 40s."

The Post also speculated that Crowe is trying to get director Ridley Scott fired. No word yet as to who will replace Miller.

I'm not older, but certainly much plumper than sienna miller.. will I do? ;) not that this is the greatest reason to have a NORMAL woman in the role, but hey, us chubbies probably won't complain too much.

no.. you're stupid said:

WELL?!? Even in the above photo (look at those arms) she is clearly too thin.

I'm all for having actresses look the part of the role they really are playing -- people his age and stature, are usually with people around the same age and stature... why is that bad? and why are you outraged?!? I'm tired of media depicting completely unrealistic couples/courtship....

Actually, it's a pretty good idea. I get creeped the fuck right out whenever I see some 60 year old "leading man" in a romantic role opposite some 23 year old it girl. (NOT because I don't want to see 60 year olds gettin' it on, but because the generation gap almost necessarily kills any supposed chemistry. Blech.)
