Indian Girl Marries a Dog (Video)

Posted by Colleen Kane

This isn't a home video of a little girl playing tea party and then marrying her dog to her doll. What follows is Reuters footage of a girl being married to a dog.

Villagers in India's eastern Jharkhand Munda Dandha village married a girl to a stray dog to ward off an evil spirit and deflect any curses levied on her family. She's still allowed to marry a man eventually without divorcing her dog. Bigamy/ beastiality all in one!

We're afraid to see what marriages would result if children in the U.S. were allowed to 1) get married and 2) marry animals.

The real question is whether the children would be able to visit their sick dogs in the veterinary hospital during family visiting hours.
