Everything Was Funnier in 1985

In the last twenty-four hours, we were sent two videos that happened to have been filmed in 1985. We hadn't seen either of them before-- one involves Saturday Night Live, the other a real commercial that might as well have been a parody on that show-- and they're both hysterical for different reasons.

Your day cannot possibly get more entertaining than this...

First, from the Best of SNL DVD's bonus material (or so we're told), here's Phil Hartman's SNL audition. God, is there anyone like this operating today?

 

And this is a commerical for "The Music Vest." We would explain what the hell that is if we only could figure out what it was... besides the obvious...
