Since her departure from The O.C. Mischa Barton has become infamous for one thing: taking her top off. Sure, we recall a little something about drinking and driving, and there was that whole crotch shot business, but those incidents have been overshadowed by the fact that the girl just likes to show us her boobs. So she does it. Over and over and over again. This is probably due, in part, to the fact that she has been consistently chided by the media about her body after some unflattering swimsuit pictures appeared in tabloids last year. And in the May issue of UK Cosmopolitan, the actress strikes back at body bullies by taking her top off, yet again.
“It’s human nature to be self-critical, but it’s possible to like the
way you look,” she says. “I’m happy now – I wouldn’t change my body,
and I couldn’t anyway. The only way to be happy and be a more enjoyable
person to be around is to embrace what you’ve got. Everyone has issues
about their body, but I feel confident now. I’m healthy and happy.
Surely there are more important issues than if someone has cellulite?”
Yes, Mischa, there certainly are.
