Look at These F-ing Hipsters

Posted by Colleen Kane

A new favorite blog is spreading like wildfire on these internets the past few days, and when I read the title I could not click the link fast enough:

Look at This Fucking Hipster

It's hard on the streets for a pimp, and as LATFH captions the above entry, "It's actually really hard to be a pimp when all your bitches have trust funds."

My favorite photo/caption combo has this caption: "This is what a retarded chicken looks like."

Street justice! Now whomever is behind this Tumblr blog just needs to get a digital camera and quit with the fuzzy phone pictures.

Awesome!  I usually try to be above making fun of people (no really, I DO) but I hate pretty much everyone in my neighborhood now.  Now someone just needs to add the Eurotrash and bridge & tunnel fratties to that blog and just about the whole 'hood'll be covered.

I'm imagining what kind of blogs they would have had in the past if they had the internet then.

In the 60's, "Hey, look at this damn hippy!"

In the 50's, "Hey look at this dirty beatnik!"

In the 40's, "Hey look at this Jap. Kill him!"

In the 30's, "Hey, look at this gosh darn Negro!"

Yeah, really, Maxwell. You'll have to explain how the Japanese were to the 40s what Negroes were to the 30s, and hipsters to the 2000s (I guess the 90s and the 80s get a pass, for some reason). You need to stop getting your history lessons from VH1.

HMmmmmmm..... why are you calling negroes douchebags? Little bit racist, huh?

Oh, and Frantz. There was a war in the 40's. With the Japanese. Didn't you hear about it? It was all over the newsreels.

I didn't do the 80's and the 90's because they weren't as funny. But here goes,

The 80's, "Hey look at that dirty fucking punk."

The 90's, "Hey look a that goth! (or raver)". But we had blogs then and there was actually a website called, "Goth Goose of the Week" and I think there was one for ravers.

See? Not as funny. Made more sense to leave it out.

Or maybe, MX Hammer, you shouldn't put hipsters in the category of oppressed races.

Just so someone puts it on record: I thought it was funny, MH. But I understand satirical escalation.

No one called out the use of the "R" word?  Come on now, instead of fomenting rage over fashion criticism taken as racism, how about noticing the elephant in the room?  The pic is funny, the comment is not.  It's grotesque and pathetic.
