• Woman Steals Daughter's Identity to Become a High School Cheerleader

  Talk about living vicariously through your children... a woman in Wisconsin took advantage of the fact that her 15-year-old daughter lived with her father in another state and enrolled in her local high school under her daughter's name to become a cheerleader and get a high school diploma. Wendy Brown, 33, who faces identity theft charges, apparently attended high school so she could regain the part of her childhood that she missed. Unfortunately, though, she didn't hold attending class in high enough regard and bounced a $134.50 check for her cheerleading uniform.  According to a school employee, Brown wasn't good at math and cried when talking about transferring from another high school. • Lindsay Lohan: Lies My Father Told Me

  We've made fun of Lindsay Lohan in the past, but now we just feel sorry for her. Her family fucking sucks. Not only is Lindsay's mom exploiting the family on reality TV, her dad — who has been in and out of jail and blabbed to the press once Lindsay finally found somebody to love — has proven himself to be an even bigger asshole than we could have possibly imagined.  Gawker somehow got their hands on a copy of a recent voicemail Michael Lohan left for Lindsay. • Today in WTF: Boy Survives Being Caged, Skinned and Eaten By His Family

  Warning: if you have young children in the room — hey, they shouldn't be reading Scanner at all! Um, if you're a bad parent and have young children in the room, and they generally read Scanner, they shouldn't be reading this. But actually, if you have young children in the room who are reading this, we'll forgive you because you're not a bad parent compared to the mother in the Czech Republic who kept her young sons in a cage while family members skinned them and ate their raw flesh (and your kids should not have just read that).   Read More... • This Video Makes Our Fingernails Sweat

  We're sitting here in 90-something-degree heat wishing our new air conditioner would have been delivered yesterday (indstead of tomorrow) and thinking about how it's too hot to carry the old one up from the basement. So, watching this little girl spin around in the dryer (at, what seems, the behest of her father) makes our fingernails sweat. Seriously, they're the last frontier. We're sweating in places we never thought we could sweat.
