  I'm home this week, doing some promo for my book and getting out the vote. My timing worked out well, because I found an old spandex sequin-y thing at a thrift store in New York, and decided I would dress up as myself in High School for Halloween. So I set about digging through my boxes at my dad's house to find my letter jacket. Going through my old stuff is always fun; I do it every couple of years, but the older I get, the more telling it becomes. What did I find this time? • No Wonder Sarah Palin Wants Kids to Stop Reading Books

  You really can't swing a limp dick around the Interwebs these days without hitting some news about GOP vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin.  While we're looking forward to the Palin coverage dying down (hopefully along with her popularity), today BoingBoing brings us two wonderful little tidbits: one, the unfortunate cover of this children's book and two, the news that when Palin took office as mayor of Wasilla, AK, she approached her town librarian to find out how she could ban books from the library.  Read More...
