• Can You Do as Many Push-Ups as the Average 40-Year-Old Woman? We Can't.

  We're working on it, though. We just started doing yoga and we're making more of an effort to walk to places to blog that aren't bed, but still, we can't. And it's a little embarrassing, for the push-up is "the ultimate barometer of fitness." Like the ladies at Jezebel, we were ignoring the New York Times story on the classic push-up for the past few days. Maybe they were ignoring it because it's a tad sexist and we were ignoring it because it made us feel inferior and weak (a result of the sexism or our own weakness?). • Sexism in the Movies Is Such a Bitch!

  We’ve got a confession to make: Sometimes, even though we know something is sexist, we enjoy it anyway, like the “Nuthin' But a 'G' Thang” video or porn. But, believe it or not, there was a time when we railed against all things anti-feminist with enthusiasm, rage, and self-righteousness. Now, for the most part, we exist in a state of apathy and resignation when it comes to mindless, obvious movies that are sexist at their very nature.  But, sometimes it’s still fun to get all riled up and outraged over blatantly sexist movies, and if you’re having one of those moments right now go on and read Radar magazine’s list of the most misogynistic movies of the 21st century. Funny thing—a significant number of these films were targeted at women. Funnier thing–-we’ve seen almost all of them.
