We assume you heard about the infamous shoe-thrower,
Muntadhar al-Zaidi, who flung his soles at George Bush ("This is a
farewell kiss from the Iraqi people, you dog!"). And if you read up on
it, you learned that they beat the poor guy senseless while in
custody.
Muntadar al-Zaidi has allegedly suffered a broken arm, broken ribs and
internal bleeding, his older brother, Dargham, told the BBC.
But while Bush got away
without a scratch, White House Press Secretary Dana Perino took a
microphone in the eye during the melee, which resulted in a nice shiner.
