Uh. There's an alleged Jimi Hendrix sex tape showing the musician he getting his guitar played by two girls who seem really into it. Vivid Entertainment is selling the tape which features 11 minutes of sex with no audio and a retrospective of Hendrix's career for $39.95. But before you throw on the paisley and pull out your wallets, The New York Times is reporting,

The identity of the man in the film, which has circulated among Hendrix aficionados for years, is fiercely disputed by experts and former associates. And the DVD arrives on the heels of a string of hoaxes involving star look-alikes and one other dead superstar. Internet news reports recently cast doubt on the claims of a New York collectibles dealer who said he brokered the sale of an explicit Marilyn Monroe film.

But nevermind authenticity, how's the sex?

From what we can tell, very 70s pornish and, despite the presence of a headband, probably not with Jimi Hendrix. This video shows heavily edited clips of the threesome and very enthusiastic commentary from super groupies Cynthia Platercaster and Pamela Des Barres who are wetting their pants over Jimi and the chance to be culturally relevant again.

Even if this sex tape isn't conclusive, we're pretty confident that Jimi knows how to whistle in the dark.
