Daisy de la Hoya Overdose?

Daisy de la Hoya, star of the latest VH-1 reality series Daisy of Love, was rushed to the hospital early yesterday morning for a possible overdose. Daisy was at a home in the Hollywood Hills with friends, who called 911 when they heard her making strange noises. When paramedics and firefighters arrived on the scene, Daisy was allegedly acting crazy, thrashing around and screaming.

Earlier the same night of the incident,TMZ cameras caught Daisy rolling out of Hollywood club Les Deux, looking less than alert and being led by friends (footage is linked here).

Her appearances for the weekend have been postponed, but Daisy's rep denies the overdose story. She says Daisy is being treated for delerium resulting from exhaustion. Celebrities sure get exhausted a lot! We Scanners have been exhausted many times, but have never been hosptialized for it. When we're exhausted, we go to sleep. So...hmm... Hope this young woman will be okay.

It's Not Looking Good for Jon and Kate

Today in rumor mongering, an update on the possible infidelity of Jon Gosselin, the TLC reality TV dad of eight who may have decided eight was enough. As mentioned on Scanner last week, he's been seen about town with a young woman who is not his wife. Now Us Weekly has a cover story with the headline "Jon & Kate: Affair With a Teacher."

The alleged other woman is Deanna Hummel, a 25-year-old teacher who lives with her brother. And this brother, Jason, apparently sold her out to Us in the guise of helping her out of this situation.

"He [Jon] is a bad liar. This isn’t healthy for her. But she is refusing to help herself, so here I am trying to help her myself. I hope this clears the air.”

He goes on to say, “A lot of the time, it was pretty, um, gross listening to her, you know, um — how do I say this? The walls are thin. Let’s just say that. I mean, no one wants to hear his sister having sex, let alone with a married dude who’s, like, almost twice her age and who has eight kids and a maybe-crazy wife. Ick. Nast.”

For one thing, bro, he's seven years older, not exactly twice her age. But for another, isn't that a sign of the times? He's helping her by airing her dirty laundry to a tabloid magazine.

While we have never known British tabloids such as News of the World and The Sun to demonstrate anything but the most responsible journalism [cough], Pink slammed their report that she's bisexual.

Pink supposedly told the former tab that she was bisexual, but it's not a big deal because "it's who I am." And although she's reunited now with ex-husband Carey Heart, she's quoted saying “I would also be just as happy with a new women."

“I’m not complicated, I sing about love in all its shapes, forms and colours."

Pink responded to the article, which her rep speculates was "entirely fabricated," via Twitter....

i just read that im bisexual. so 1991. good thing people write articles about me so i can get my facts str8. i mean straight. read on people.

She then added, in another tweet:

cant WAIT for the day when people stop talking about sexual preference or that a woman is a CEO and actually start making the world LIVEABLE

And just to clarify, she responded to Perez Hilton, when he asked her over Twitter:

13-Year-Old Boy Watched That Paris Hilton Video Too Many Times

These kids today... first, they stage circle-jerk sessions and give out hand jobs in class. Next, at least in Connecticut, they give blow jobs in class.

But one Cincinnati, Ohio teenager decided that these were not enough to satisfy his adolescent cravings. Now, he's made national news for "pandering obscenity," a ridiculous and unconstitutional law that another Ohio resident, one Larry Flynt, has been messing with for decades...

Here's the full news report (no other information is known as of this writing):

A 13-year-old boy is charged today after police say he made a sex tape and showed it off at school.

Middletown police say the boy videotaped himself with another middle school girl. The tape was apparently made at the girl's house. The boy showed the video to his classmates at Vail Middle School.

The seventh grader is charged with pandering obscenity.

Dude is in seventh grade, Ohio, cut him some slack! And, as usual, there's no mention of the girl in the case-- did she wish to have herself filmed? Did she encourage or even promote the distribution of said sex tape? Or is she a victim of hidden camera work? (Obviously, he's at least a dumbass for showing it to his friends-- especially at Middle School, during class, knowing full well by the age of thirteen that the rumor mill is a vicious beast with no secrets.)

We'll have more on this if we ever hear about it again. Chances are, we won't.

The drama surrounding Chris Brown and Rihanna continues. Amid reports that the on-again, off-again couple is taking a much-needed break, we hear that Brown had a "reason" to beat the hell out of his girlfriend—bitch gave him herpes! Or so says a "source close to Brown." A reason to break up with someone? Sure. Beat that person up? Hell no. Of course, tthe story gets better. Because if Rihanna gave Brown The Herp, who gave it to her?

Why, none other than Jay-Z!

This story is, of course, getting more ridiculous by the day. Next thing you know Beyonce and Rihanna are going to come forward with their lesbian love affair and Brown is going to turn up preggers on the Oprah show.

Famous Last Words

Why is it that celebrities are able to muster more creative energy than they've had in years to consistently utter their unforgettable last words?

Take, for example, the curious case of Dylan Thomas, poet, raconteur, and mainly raconteur who drank himself to death via shots of whiskey at New York City's White Horse Tavern before staggering back to the Chelsea Hotel, more than a dozen blocks later, and collapsing in its now-famous lobby. His immortal last words?

"Eighteen whiskeys... that must be some sort of a record."

Of course, the reason that all these famous last words are so, well, famous is that they are exaggerated and that the circumstances surrounding them are mostly unsubstantiated myths.

Here's what really happened to Dylan Thomas... according to Wikipedia, of course:

Thomas.. said that we was feeling awful and asked to take a "rain-check". He did however accompany Liz to the White Horse for a few beers. Feeling sick he again returned to the hotel.

[Dr.] Feltenstein came to see him three times that day, on the third call prescribing morphine. This seriously affected Dylan's breathing. At midnight on November 4/5, his breathing became more difficult and his face turned blue.

By 1:58 am Thomas had been admitted to the emergency ward at nearby St Vincent’s, by which time he was profoundly comatose. The doctors on duty found bronchitis in all parts of his bronchial tree, both left and right sides. An X-ray showed pneumonia... and Thomas died on November 9.

Here's where the myths started:

During an incident on 3 November 1953, Thomas returned to the Chelsea Hotel in New York, from the White Horse Tavern and exclaimed, "I've had eighteen straight whiskies, I think that is a record." However, the barman and the owner of the pub who served Thomas at the time, later told Ruthven Todd, that Thomas couldn't have imbibed more than half that amount, after Todd decided to find out.

Despite shattering that myth, here's a set of famous last words that have stood the test of time. If we're half this witty when the time comes, we must've done something right in life:

But our favorite famous last words are those of former US President John Adams, who died on July 4, 1826. His bitter rivalry with Thomas Jefferson (the POTUS #3 to his POTUS #2) continued to his dying day, upon which Adams muttered, "And Thomas Jefferson still survives." As it turns out, Jefferson had actually died earlier that day, but Adams did not learn this before passing on.

Jefferson's last words? "Is it the Fourth?"

This Whole Chris Brown and Rihanna Story Is Getting Sicker By The Day

One of the saddest celebrity relationship stories of all-time gets worse by the day. Yesterday, a tabloid published Rihanna's personal phone number, Chris Brown obtained a reprieve and... oh no... now there are strong rumors that the two may have gotten married in secret.

There must be something we can do to put a stop to the madness...

1) Defamer reported that Extra, in their published report on the Chris Brown search warrant, failed to properly and entirely redact the phone numbers included in the affidavit. Defamer called one of the numbers and got what appears to be Rihanna's voice on a voice mail. Great, just what this girl needs-- more people bothering her.

2) Yesterday, Brown appeared in court for his arraignment on two felonies but will not have to enter a (not) guilty plea until April 6th. TMZ speculates that the singer may try for a plea deal to make this case go away-- although, without Rihanna playing ball for them, the prosecution might have a tough time winning a jury trial against him. Later on, Chris went out partying with just his bodyguards, staying out until almost four o'clock in the morning. This guy just doesn't know what the hell he's doing, does he?

3) The blog Geno's World is as pissed about all this as we are. They, like many Rihanna fans and other observers, are pulling their hair out at the idea that Rihanna is sticking with this guy and may have even married him, as if that's going to help anything. He's clearly not going to learn how to behave by being rewarded with your devotion. Geno asked a convicted murderer what would happen to Chris Brown in prison... out of pure curiosity, of course. Of course.

"He better come prepared for some fun. That's all I gotta say. What do I mean? There's a lotta fellas here who love Rihanna and her music. They ain't too happy with what went down. I mean, you can't treat a princess like Rihanna like that. You gotta show some respect for a goddess like that. The guys here would love to show Chris how to really treat a woman. And you know what I mean, Chris would be the woman. That man is too damn pretty. He'd be very popular in here."

These words would be disturbing if we weren't not-so-secretly thrilled to hear them. Is that wrong?

But if her story is true, the man just has no skills.

This could be akin to either a) CBS releasing fake George W. Bush AWOL documents or b) George W. Bush's drunk-driving arrest coming to light the last week of the election and causing him to lose the popular vote.

If it's true, in this case, it means the end of John McCain as a Presidential candidate...

From a Huffington Post e-mail blast at 10:23 this morning:

For the past two months, a major American magazine and an allied news service have been engaged in a legal battle with the United States Navy over records that they believe show that John McCain once was involved in an automobile accident that injured or, perhaps, killed another individual.

Vanity Fair magazine and the National Security News Service claim to have knowledge "developed from first-hand sources" of a car crash that involved then-Lt. McCain in 1964, according to legal filings. Lawyers for the NSNS allege that a cover-up may be at play.

Okay, lies! If there is a Hell, we are most certainly going. In a hand basket. However, we were specifically asked to spread this rumor, so here goes...

With Palin involved, it's hard not to want to spread rumors [Ed note: true dat!]. Here's a note from a friend who is a major producer at [redacted] & is working on an hour segment on Palin for this [redacted] on [redacted].

After all the Sarah Palin rumor mongering that swept the blogosphere—and then the mainstream media—in the last week, we got a little scared by how easy it would be to start a rumor when one has a blog with a decent readership. Then we got a little excited by the idea. We were turned on by the power. But then we realized it would be wrong. Okay, we always knew it was wrong, but we realized we could get in trouble. In the end, though, making up rumors about someone we don't like is just too much fun to pass up. But it's wrong. So instead of starting rumors about Sarah Palin, we'll just tell you the rumors we thought about starting.

Ladies and gentleman, here you have it: the top 5 completely untrue (to our knowledge), absolutely false rumors we would make up about about GOP vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin, but won't.

5. When the McCain camp got in touch with Palin about the vice-presidency, they told her she'd have to get rid of her Hummer. She was super upset, she said, because she felt like it was the only place she could get some alone time on her way to and from work and Wal-Mart.

4. Sarah married Todd Palin because she was pregnant with Track (okay, this one might actually be true, but we have no proof).

3. Sarah has a tattoo of Alaska right where her ass meets her back, on the left side.

2. Sarah once made out with Anne Heche while Heche was in town filming "Men in Trees." Palin later wrote Heche an email telling her how much she liked it.*

1. The media has it all backwards. Trig isn't the son of Bristol, he is Sarah's baby. But he is the son of Levi Johnston (Bristol's boyfriend). Sarah has been having an affair with Johnston since he was 13. Palin became pregnant with Johnston's child in the summer of 2006, but aborted it in the first trimester. When she got pregnant again, she felt too guilty to abort, especially considering it was conceived in her favorite place ever: her Hummer. Eventually, Johnston fell in love with Bristol and Sarah thought it would be a good idea to let the two date. Johnston claims he was always in love with Bristol and that Sarah Palin seduced him (against his will) one summer; Sarah claims otherwise.

Rumor Mongering (or Simple Math): Is Naomi Campbell's Vagina Infected?

As Scanner Bryan told us earlier, PageSix was reporting that Naomi Campbell was hospitalized in Sao Paulo to have a cyst removed. But CNN is reporting that she's "being treated by one of Brazil's top specialists in infectious disease" and... a gynecologist?

Most "diseases" that we know of that warrant a gynecologist aren't necessarily infectious. But what do we know, really? Though we did have a friend who had a very, very smelly vagina infection once (vaginitis). But an infection isn't really a disease. Maybe she has some crazy Brazilian strain of yeast infection and they're just being extra cautious? Or maybe PageSix was right and it's a long-gone cyst. Whatever is wrong with Naomi's vajayjay, doctors are keeping quiet. But we wish Naomi and her vagina the best and hope they're back to work very soon.

Rumor Mongering: Did Justin Timberlake Impregnate Kate Hudson?

Before you say anything, we need to get a few things straight. 1. We're not even sure Kate Hudson is pregnant. 2. Isn't Justin Timberlake dating Jessica Biel? But while our rumor-mongering big little sister FameCrawler is speculating that JTimb might have planted his seed in the spawn of Goldie Hawn, we're happy to oblige, or at least get in on the conversation.

According to our sister site, the two were spotted getting cozy at a Hollywood club back in January. Apparently people even saw them kissing. But we've kissed lots of people who haven't impregnated us. Lots. Lots and lots.

What do you think? No way or will we dismiss it now only find out on Baby Hudson's E! True Hollywood Story twenty years from now that it's true?
