It's not fake. It's from the same Phillipe Halsman shoot where she's lifting dumbells. Same jeans, same bikini top. I know of a better bootylicious shot of MM, though. It's a De Dienes where she smiling, legs over her head.

I don't have provenance, but I've seen another photo which I assume is from the same shoot (she's wearing the same clothes, the grain and contrast of the film look the same) which is definitely her lying on a weight bench with two small freeweights.
