The debut feature from Jonathan Levine (The Wackness) has become something of a cause célèbre among horror buffs, in large part for having its release date pushed back for nearly two years now (when is this coming out, anyway?). But is it any good? Hard to tell from this trailer. I like the combination of high-school movie and horror that it suggests, but it’s trickier to say whether the two are actually combined in an interesting way or if it simply, abruptly switches from one mode to the other never to look back. Still, I’ll hold out judgment until this weekend, when it screens at the local horror marathon. I’ll keep you posted.
