Thanks for the kind words, Borstalboy. I guess it helped that I feel closer to Bergman and Ullmann than I do to, say, Sean S. Cunningham. So I was able to draw on a bit more knowledge and moviegoing experience in this case.

Wow! That was a great review! Even better than I was expecting. I totally agree with you about Ullman's warmth being quite different than Bergman's. It never fails to blow my mind how audiences have somewhat turned away from his films. He's been MIA on the latest Sight & Sound polls and FAITHLESS came and went from theaters in the blink of an eye.
