The censors were upset about Betty's behavior that night and her failure to remember anything the next day because they got the idea that she'd been drinking, and Sturges replied, Hey, whoa--a young lady enjoying alcohol? Not in MY picture! Remember when she hit her head? Well, she couldn't remember anything after that because she had a concussion.
