Today I bring you my contribution to the cause. Whatever could it be? Between your review and the trailer, I really want to see this now.

However, I agree with you about Pistol Opera, I saw that at the Seattle Film Festival and was bored out of my mind. I was hoping this one would be the same :P, nevertheless, glad you enjoyed it!

I was a bit worried when I saw the film attached to the White Elephant Blog-a-thon, but I'm glad you saw it pretty much the way I did - as tons of fun. I posted my own review of it awhile ago (focused mainly on screencaps) and also mentioned that the viewer really needs to go along with Suzuki for the ride.

I don't completely agree with you about Pistol Opera though. I found that to be tons of fun as well (that lead actress is bordering on hysterically funny at times), though it certainly does add in a whole lot more subtext, etc. Granted, I'm not sure if Suzuki intended me to laugh at some of the parts of the film, but no mind. It looks amazing as well...

I think I would have jumped out of my skin if I'd gotten PRINCESS RACCOON. Terrific stuff, innit?

Now it can be told: I passed along KING KUNG FU. Sorry, Sarah.
